Jones Center show
The Jones Center in Springdale Arkansas is a free family center, and gets lots of people in to swim and ice-skate and all kinds of other stuff. So I'm there playing for my bro's art show/sale and in the next room there's a wedding reception; we're actually in the lobby so I set up next to the statues of the founders.

There were people milling around the art show, looking up if I played something they liked, and then there was the full set of my young nephews and niece (8 kids total) who came out with their parents to support "Uncle Jamey," they were sitting on stage and goofing around and having a good time. Then there was the nice lady with the headphone-based hearing aid that sat on the stage to rest and told me about her cousins experience as a musician. There was a constant stream of kids and adults walking by in towels or street clothes or whatever going "what the heck is this?" as they passed; it was a blur of weird, warm chaos, a lobby full of art and patrons, kids and swimmers and a bride and groom and some unknown neo-electro folk singer sitting off to the side with his Ipod and too many guitars. If you missed it you missed a good one, not to be forgotten...

Big thanks to Matt "Fishhead" Snyder and Kirk Demarais for taking these pics. A good time was had by all, not least the statues of Harvey and Bernice Jones who hovered a few feet away from me. And yes, I'm afraid there is hue-based evidence on my neck that I live in Arkansas (and that it's summer.)
